Weston Creek is a district of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia which lies west of the Woden Valley district. Belconnen and Tuggeranong lie to the north and southeast respectively. Weston Creek was established in the late 1960s, as a smaller offshoot of the "satellite city" in Woden Valley. Eight suburbs comprise the Weston Creek district, namely Chapman, Duffy, Fisher, Holder, Rivett, Stirling, Waramanga and Weston. Each of these suburbs have their own shops and public ovals. All suburbs are named after a certain head figure in Australia and the street names have each a local theme such as rivers and creeks of Australia and native flowers.
