Description
Basadingen is a village and former municipality in the canton of Thurgau, Switzerland. It was first recorded in year 761 as Pasnandingas. The municipality had 763 inhabitants in 1850, which went up and down to 662 in 1900, 792 in 1950, 681 in 1980 and 821 in 1990. In 1999 the municipality was merged with the neighboring municipality Schlattingen to form a new and larger municipality Basadingen-Schlattingen.
