Dos Palos (formerly, Dospalos)[2] is a city in Merced County, California, United States. Dos Palos is located 23 miles (37 km) south-southwest of Merced,[2] at an elevation of 118 feet (36 m).[1] The population was 4,581 at the 2000 census.

History

The Dospalos post office operated from 1891 to 1906.[2] The Dos Palos post office opened in 1906.[2] Dos Palos incorporated in 1935.[2]
