Having been followed by project VORTEX, Josh Worman, the head of the team at the time, followed the F4 twister with sensors and radars, thereby capturing images of the inner core of the violent twister and providing a better understanding of the thermodynamics and the mesocyclonic elements involved with the birth of tornado spawing storms.
