Education

The City of Kennedale is served by the Kennedale Independent School District. Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary and College, an Independent Baptist institution of higher learning which describes itself as "Independent, Fundamental, King James Version of the Bible Only", was established in Kennedale in 1960.[4]

Geography

Kennedale is located at 32°39′00″N 97°13′05″W / 32.650070°N 97.218095°W / 32.650070; -97.218095 (32.650070, -97.218095).[3] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.0 square miles (15.6 km2), all of it land.

History

Settled in the 1860s. Named for Oliver S. Kennedy who platted Kennedale, and donated every other lot to the Southern Pacific Railroad.
